Overview

Susquehanna is a global quantitative trading firm founded by a group of friends who share a passion for game theory and probabilistic thinking. We have incorporated this approach into our culture, where you will find relentless problem solvers within each of our core disciplines: Trading, Technology, and Quantitative Research. From offices around the world, our employees collaborate to make optimal decisions and are driven by the desire to achieve winning results together.

We are experts in trading essentially all listed financial products and asset classes, with a strong focus on derivatives. Through market making and market taking, we execute millions of transactions every day, providing liquidity and ensuring competitive prices for buyers and sellers. While our presence in the market is broad, our trading desks are highly specialised, enabling deep understanding of the unique drivers of each asset class.

Trading Technology Team

Susquehanna’s technology organisation builds some of the most advanced trading systems in the financial industry—spanning large-scale distributed computation, real-time low-latency systems, high-performance computing, and petabytes of data. By combining modern coding practices with innovative engineering, we design and optimise platforms capable of processing massive volumes of data while maintaining exceptional speed and reliability. Working closely with traders and quantitative researchers, our engineers and analysts create industry-leading technical solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive QA test plans for options trading systems across functional, integration, regression, and performance testing
  • Become a subject matter expert in SIG’s in-house trading platforms—including Options trading, OMS, market data, and static/reference data workflows for India exchanges
  • Contribute to exchange certification cycles for Options Trading systems with India exchanges
  • Validate new features, system enhancements, and exchange-driven changes to ensure production-ready quality.
  • Act as the local technical and QA liaison with India exchanges, ensuring compliance with exchange requirements, regulatory expectations, and certification standards
  • Partner with developers, business analysts, and traders to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage across complex trading workflows.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with QA and trading support teams in Sydney and Hong Kong to maintain stability and reduce testing friction across regions
  • Contribute to the development of automated regression suites, test harnesses, and validation tooling (e.g., scripts, simulators, log analytics)
  • Assist with environment management, deployment validation, and production readiness checks.

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Technology roles within the financial industry—particularly in trading, market making, derivatives, market data, OMS, or similar systems
  • Deep understanding of India exchange rules, regulations, and protocols for derivatives and cash markets
  • Hands-on experience with exchange certification processes for India trading systems
  • Proven ability to work independently, drive clarity, and deliver under tight deadlines in a trading-floor environment
  • Strong communication skills, able to interface with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including traders, developers, and external brokers or exchange contacts
  • Experience working with globally distributed technology teams
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Your Technical Experience Will Include

  • Strong experience in exchange certification, application deployment/validation, and production support testing
  • Experience working with static instrument data, market data systems, and market data protocols.
  • Proficiency across both Windows and Linux environments
  • Technical skills in scripting and automation—Python, PowerShell, C#, or similar languages is valuable
  • Exposure to messaging systems and debugging network protocols such as TCP and multicast is valuable.
