Overview

This internship will take place in Dublin for 10 weeks in Summer 2026, but you will be considered for a 2027 graduate role in our London office. If you have already applied for the Dublin internship, you do not need to reapply.

Susquehanna’s 10-week quantitative trading internship offers a rare insight into working at one of the world’s leading quantitative trading firms. Designed for intellectually curious and driven individuals with strong quantitative skillsets, our internship combines rigorous classroom-based education with real-world trading experience.

Run by a team of dedicated senior traders, our education programme is widely recognised as being the best in the industry. Our classroom-based education covers topics such as ETF and options trading, game theory, and programming. Don’t worry if you don’t have a finance background – we will teach you everything you need to succeed.

A core strength of our internship is that we combine classroom-based education with hands-on project work and trading simulations. Working alongside a dedicated mentor, you will have the opportunity to work on a real-world trading problem, which has the potential to impact our trading strategies, improve tools, or uncover new market insights.

Join us this summer to see why so many interns decide to return for a full-time career in quantitative trading.

What we’re looking for

Problem solver: You enjoy solving puzzles and love it when you discover solutions to complex problems.

Clear communicator: You enjoy building relationships with those you work closely with and are comfortable sharing ideas, expressing your thoughts, and listening to the views of others.

Ambitious: You’re someone that enjoys setting personal goals and giving your all to achieve them. Be it in Arts, Sports, Academics, or another passion, you’re not afraid to put in the effort to reach your full potential.

Penultimate-year or recently graduated student: You should have completed 3 years at university by June 2026. Successful interns will be invited to join our full-time graduate programme from our new London office in either January or August 2027.

What’s in it for you:

Education: You will attend classes covering a vast range of topics (Finance, Options, Mock Trading, Game Theory, Tech, Trader Talks, Poker, Speaker Seminars, In-house trading games… the list goes on!) from some of the most experienced employees at Susquehanna.

Collaboration: You will get to work with a wide range of people in the classroom and through your project work; people who share a passion for mathematics, problem-solving, game theory, and technology.

Decision-making: Game theory is central to Susquehanna’s history as a firm and our trading philosophy. Weekly poker classes, strategy board games, and proprietary trading games will challenge you to optimise outcomes, anticipate moves, and maximise your winnings.

Culture: Our non-hierarchical, casual, and collaborative culture allows employees of every level to thrive.

Perks: We offer a highly competitive compensation package to our interns. Our new, state of the art, London office will open in 2026, but whilst completing your internship in Dublin, you'll be in the heart of Dublin’s city centre and enjoy features such as free onsite catering, a games room, and a fully equipped in-house gym. Throughout the summer, interns enjoy weekly social events. We also provide accommodation for the duration of the internship to those who relocate for the summer.

Applicants must be legally eligible to complete the internship in Ireland.

**We hire for our quantitative trading internship on a rolling basis, therefore interested candidates are strongly encouraged to apply early. **
