Overview

 

We are looking for a dynamic and driven Business Analyst & Project Manager (PM/BA) based in Hong Kong to spearhead strategic business initiatives – most notably, the expansion of our Institutional Sales business in the region and establishment of the technology platform that underpins it. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across front-to-back-office functions, integrating third-party vendor systems with internal platforms. 

Ideal candidates will bring a solid background in financial servicesparticularly in sales and trading business – with demonstrated experience in business analysis and project management on large-scale initiatives. Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities are essential, as the role involves close collaboration with global teams and requires excellent communication and coordination across multiple regions. 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct in-depth analysis and documentation of current and future state processes and workflows, spanning front-to-back business operations and technical systems. 
  • Help drive the end-to-end delivery of complex, large-scale workstreams involving cross-functional teams in business and technology.  
  • Oversee vendor system implementation and integration, with a focus on large-scale implementations such as Order Management and Middle Office platforms. 
  • Collaborate closely with global technology and business teams in the development of high-level solution designs. 
  • Proactively identify and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies. 
  • Engage and collaborate with senior stakeholders across trading, operations, compliance, and technology, providing regular progress updates and facilitating issue resolution. 
  • Develop and maintain key project artifacts, status reports, and communication plans.

What we’re looking for

 

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a techno-functional role as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, or in a hybrid BA/PM capacity. 
  • Experience analyzing and implementing end to end projects across front, middle and back-office functions of sales and trading business. 
  • Solid understanding of Order Management Systems (OMS) and their operation in sell-side workflows; agency and riskless principal. 
  • Solid grasp of the trade lifecycle and post-trade processes across multiple asset classes—including ETFs, equities, equity derivatives, and fixed income—along with associated settlement flows, such as bilateral DVP settlement vs. central clearing. 
  • Familiarity with key global markets and jurisdictions, along with an understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks.  
  • Strong experience working with vendors, deploying and integrating their products within enterprise environments. 
  • Highly proactive, with a strong ability to take initiative and lead projects to successful completion within a global environment, effectively navigating time zone differences and cultural diversity. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience in using collaborative tools such as Confluence, Jira etc. 
  • Experience in planning and executing comprehensive end-to-end testing strategies.  
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills. 
  • Excellent data analysis and system analysis capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related discipline, or equivalent experience.
