Overview

Susquehanna is currently seeking a full-time onsite Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide acute/episodic care for our employees in Bala Cynwyd, PA. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated practitioner who works collaboratively to provide acute care and partners with the Benefits team on wellness initiatives to support our employees.

Susquehanna’s health center is open Monday-Friday from 8:00am – 4:00pm with no weekends, holidays, or on-call hours.

 

This role will work closely with the Susquehanna Global Benefits and HR teams and will be connected to an overseeing MD at a local hospital system. Susquehanna will secure malpractice insurance for the onsite NP.

 

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Provide prompt assessment, diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses and minor injuries within prescribed guidelines under appropriate medical direction
  • Order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ clinical issues and concerns
  • Provide short-term care management and education to patients, ensuring follow-up plans are in place as needed
  • Prescribe or recommend medications or other forms of treatment
  • Perform lab draws, administer vaccinations and administer allergy serums as prescribed by outside providers
  • Escalate care as appropriate by referring patients to outside providers and specialists
  • Maintain written and electronic medical records
  • Manage Wellness Center schedule and external vendor relationships, including onsite pharmacy delivery, lab specimen pick-ups and onsite medical supplies
  • Collaborate with Benefits team to deliver health and wellness initiatives for employees including flu shot clinics, weight management initiatives and smoking cessation programs
  • Serve as triage for onsite emergencies and accidents

What we’re looking for

Requirements:

  • Must be a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) with an active Pennsylvania state license, in good standing with medical board
  • CPR/AED Certified
  • Knowledge of Electronic Health Records
  • Ability to provide quality, comprehensive medical care with minimum supervision
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
