Overview

Who We Are:

Susquehanna is a global quantitative trading firm renowned for our entrepreneurial mindset and rigorous analytical approach to decision-making. We invest our own capital in trading financial products globally and develop nearly all of our proprietary trading technology in-house, positioning ourselves as industry leaders in high-performance, low-latency trading.

At Susquehanna, traders, quantitative analysts, developers, and systems engineers collaborate closely, leveraging deep expertise in diverse disciplines to create some of the most advanced trading systems in the financial sector.

Role Overview:

As a C++ Model Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in developing, optimising, and maintaining high-performance real-time trading systems and sophisticated quantitative models critical to our competitive edge. Joining our Dublin-based Data-Driven Trading team, you'll work extensively with modern C++ to create software solutions focused on low-latency market data distribution, advanced quantitative modelling, order-routing systems, and dynamic trading environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, analyse, and develop complex, high-performance quantitative models and software critical to trading operations.
  • Lead the software and model development lifecycle from requirements gathering through to production deployment.
  • Optimise and maintain existing C++ systems and models to meet evolving technical and business demands.
  • Collaborate closely with traders, quantitative researchers, and analysts to improve system and model performance and reliability

What we’re looking for

  • A degree in Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field (advanced degrees preferred).
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in software and model development.
  • Strong proficiency in modern C++ (C++11/14/17), with particular emphasis on quantitative modelling.
  • Experience developing high-frequency, low-latency applications is beneficial.
  • Proven track record in delivering complex software solutions with rigorous performance and scalability demands.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, particularly in mathematical modelling, statistical analysis, physics-based simulations, or algorithmic research.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise tasks, manage deadlines, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical team members.
  • An interest or experience in capital markets, probability theory, statistical modelling, or game theory is advantageous.
