Overview

As a Trading Desk Support Analyst, you’ll support Heights Capital’s European trading and investment activity. You’ll work closely with our front office team, brokers, and counterparties to ensure smooth post-trade execution and accurate reporting. You’ll also play a key role in ongoing data analysis, reporting, and automation initiatives — so a solid technical foundation is essential.

You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of financial instruments and learn how capital markets function in real time, working side-by-side with experienced investment professionals. The role also involves collaboration with our US-based operations team, including working onsite at Susquehanna’s head office in Philadelphia for a short period multiple times a year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first line of support between the investment team and external brokers
  • Monitor and reconcile trade activity and settlement across UK and European markets
  • Prepare and maintain internal reports (positions, PnL, financing, broker costs, etc.)
  • Support trade entry, allocations, and confirmation processes
  • Work with internal systems to input new deals and maintain trade data
  • Liaise with the KYC/onboarding team to manage counterparty account setup
  • Assist with regulatory reporting and audit-related documentation
  • Collaborate with US Ops team on shared workflows and reporting initiatives
  • Identify and implement improvements to operational processes and reporting

What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years of experience in middle office, settlements, trade support, or related roles
  • Strong technical skills — hands-on experience with SQL Server, Excel, VBA, and MS Access is essential
  • Experience in data automation, reporting tools, and scripting is highly valued; Python is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with the full trade lifecycle and European settlement mechanics
  • Strong understanding of equities, convertible bonds, and derivatives
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
