Trading Technology Team

  

SIG’s technology team build some of the most powerful trading systems in the financial industry. This includes large scale computations, real-time systems, high performance computing and petabytes of data. By integrating sophisticated coding techniques with innovative engineering ideas, we design and optimise systems that can process massive amounts of data while still ensuring high performance and stability. Working with traders and quantitative researchers, our systems engineers, network architects, technical analysts and software developers create industry-leading technical solutions. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Become a subject matter expert in our in-house trading systems and procedures across Option Market Making, OMS, market data and static/reference data for India exchanges
  • Participate into the implementation and testing of Options Trading systems for India exchanges
  • Responsible for certification of Options Trading systems with India exchanges
  • Local technical liaison with India exchanges. Provide guidance to Options Trading development teams on India specific requirements and regulations. 

Secondary Responsibilities 

  • Provide support of the options trading system locally for India exchanges
  • Work closely with the Options trading support team in Sydney and Hong Kong to ensure smooth operations of Trading systems
  • Participate into the development of scripts and automation tools with the rest of Options support and development team. 

What we’re looking for

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial experience in the Financial Industry particularly trading, market making, options, market data, OMS, and/or other related systems
  • Expert knowledge of India exchanges rules and regulations for derivatives and cash trading systems
  • Experience in dealing with India exchanges trading system certification
  • Self-starter, able to work on your own with little oversight
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a range of technical and non-technical staff across the organisation, as well as external brokers
  • Ability to work under demanding deadlines with changing priorities in a trading room environment
  • Experience working with remote Technology teams
  • Degree with a major in Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. 

Your technical experience will include. 

  • Strong experience in exchange certification, application Deployment and support
  • Must have strong technical skills in scripting, Python, PowerShell, C# or other programming languages
  • Experience working with instrument static data and/or other Market Data systems & protocols experience in both Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Experience in messaging systems, and experience debugging network protocols such as TCP, multicast, would be highly regarded.
