    SIG’s Trading Operations Analyst Internship is a fantastic opportunity for a high performing, motivated and enthusiastic student to work in a fast paced financial trading environment. As part of our Trading Ops team you will play a vital role assisting the team in supporting and analysing our trading activities. Our interns build an excellent knowledge of the products traded by SIG, and the international markets in which we operate.


    At SIG we aim to provide development and technical support to empower all interns with the skills and knowledge necessary to add value and become a strong component of the Trading Ops team. We offer in-house business, product and tech (SQL, VBA etc.) training that aim to give you a deep understanding of all elements of the company. This, along with the opportunity to complete and present a project with real world application to the wider operations area, including senior management, , will ensure that you will be challenged throughout the duration of the internship.


    This is a superb opportunity for an individual with a keen interest in the financial markets who is looking for a challenging and rewarding internship. We offer internships ranging from 6 to 12 months



    Essential duties and responsibilities

    • Checking trade confirmations for all OTC and DMA broker trades and regular communication with international brokers
    • Overseeing payment of trading commissions to brokers
    • Compiling profit and loss for admin and trading desks
    • Monitoring and analysing market making performance across a number of derivatives exchanges
    • Generating and analysing short reports and making traders aware of potential buy in risks for ETF’s
    • Working on projects directly related to the desk’s trading activity and risks

    What we’re looking for

    • Strong GPA in area of study.
    • Attention to detail and good organisational skills
    • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Exposure to MS Access and VBA/SQL an advantage.
    • Strong communicator (verbal and written)
    • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
    • Ambitious and self-motivated, not afraid to ask questions and use own initiative
    • Effective problem solving and analytical skills; including effective troubleshooting in a fast-paced, time-critical environment
    • Knowledge of, and an interest in, financial markets
