    SIG has a job opportunity available for a Purchasing Project Manager to join our team in our Philadelphia area headquarters.  We’re looking for someone in this role who is excited to leverage their knowledge of, and interest in, purchasing and technology to facilitate and drive projects from inception to completion.  You’ll have the opportunity to partner directly with our Purchasing Manager and work across both technical and business teams to support projects like office fit-outs, renovations or launches, software upgrades/refreshes, reporting & analytics development, and overall process improvements.  Your ideas will be heard and your impact felt as you tap into your analytical skills to present and operationalize ideas that ensure our purchasing initiatives run smoothly and efficiently.  And you’ll be exposed to new technologies and new projects throughout your time with us, always building upon your knowledge of both technology and our business model.

    By taking this job, you will:

    • Manage multiple, concurrent purchasing related projects crossing both technical and non-technical initiatives
    • Interface with technical and business focused teams to identify needs, define gaps, and manage project requirements
    • Build upon your understanding of various technologies utilized (or being introduced) within the firm; assess, design and/or update purchasing procedures to support them
    • Set up and implement procedures around data collection and reporting to streamline analysis and influence purchasing decisions
    • Support purchasing processes as needed within or outside of projects under management

    What we’re looking for

     

    • At least 3-5 years of recent hands-on experience in a project management, project coordination or related role
    • An understanding of, or interest in, technology and the procurement of technology assets (servers, software, desktops, networking & telecommunications equipment, etc.)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; Excel required
    • Bachelor's degree
