At SIG, you will gain exposure to a large and complex network topology. Our Network Services team is responsible for monitoring, maintaining and providing support for the firm’s global, enterprise network. You will be in charge of identifying, reporting, and investigating any issues within our network. We require critical thinking and in-depth analysis in order to build a better network. You will also be given the opportunity to automate our environment, implement configuration changes, and troubleshoot packet flow issues at a detailed level. Our mission is to continually expand our network infrastructure and invest heavily in advancing our technology.

We are more than just network support - In addition to troubleshooting issues across our environment, your job is to find innovative solutions to problems. You will have the opportunity to give input on network design decisions and participate in network device deployments. As well as resolve issues that could include local/wide area networks, OSI Layer 1-3, wireless networks and third-party vendor connections in a multi-vendor environment across multiple Data Center locations.
Exposure to a variety of tech - At SIG we use a diverse set of technologies to ensure we are operating in the most efficient way possible. You will gain exposure to a multitude of different technologies including, WAN, LAN, Enterprise and Carrier-Class Networking. You will also have the opportunity to partner with senior engineers to work a wide array of projects. Projects will start with basic operational tasks, and as your skills grow you will be working collaboratively to develop innovative solutions that you will deploy company-wide.
We collaborate - The best network is created by understanding its demands. This will require you to actively collaborate with the networking team, other technologists, and our core business teams. It is crucial in our environment to work together so we can coordinate configuration changes, provide root-cause analysis, recommend network optimizations, and participate in firm-wide projects including upgrading and implementing new hardware and software.
Hands on Learning - At SIG, you learn the most by doing. With guidance and mentoring from your team, you’ll get hands-on experience, beginning on your first day. Spend some time in our lab and test out new configurations before implementing firm-wide! You will gain knowledge and hands-on experience across our infrastructure through projects with our Networking Engineers as well our Security, Windows, Linux, Virtual, Storage, and Citrix teams.
Leadership Experience - Once you find your footing, you will participate in a Production Lead rotation. The production lead is in charge of orchestrating the team’s daily operations and sensitive maintenance activities. As Production Lead, you are the main conduit to other technology / business teams during production issues or critical situations. You gain creative problem-solving and delegation experience by leading our daily scrum to review the state of the environment.
