  • Overview

SIG is hiring a high-performance software engineer to work on building our next generation options trading system, which is the successor to the best options trading system in the world. This system enables us to backtest, study, and run strategies live. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about developer productivity and can take a complex problem space and break it down into simple components, making our platform more efficient for strategy developers.

We’re looking for someone who has network programming experience as well as an understanding of operating system concepts/CPU architecture and how they affect performance. This role provides you with the opportunity to understand our strategies and make the platform work to its optimal potential. While trading system knowledge is helpful, it isn’t required. You will work with a seasoned team to drive the architecture of a vast distributed system forward.

    What we’re looking for

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline or its foreign equivalent plus 7 years of progressive experience developing software applications. Relevant technical experience may substitute for education
    • Recent hands-on experience with performance-sensitive C++ is required; C# or Java experience a plus
