Overview

The Management, Monitoring & Automation-Production (MMA-P) team is a new team. As the successful candidate  you will join the existing MMA-P Systems Engineers and will be responsible for the engineering and administration of SIG Dublin’s monitoring, automation and management tools and systems. The environment the team will be responsible for is comprised of, but not limited to, Splunk, ELK, Check_MK, Grafana, Confluence & JIRA and OpsGenie.

What we’re looking for

Full-Stack Big Data/Monitoring Infrastructure/Automation Engineering that includes:

 

  • Operation and Administration of systems/applications monitoring tools in a highly-available configuration
  • Contributing developer on existing in-house frameworks and standards
  • Create solutions with a production end state in mind
  • Review code and provide peer feedback relative to best practices
  • Work closely with architects to deliver appropriate technical solutions
  • Create and maintain architectural diagrams and other relevant documentation
  • Build, customize and deploy dashboards and knowledge objects as per internal customer needs
  • Troubleshooting and Support of Non-Performant and Failing Jobs
  • Application and systems analysis of production infrastructure that supports revenue-generating platforms
  • Professionally influence and negotiate with other technical leaders to define and implement the optimal solution with consideration for technical and project constraints
  • Interact professionally with business partners and key contacts

 

What you have:

 

  • Minimum 1 year Experience working with scripting (Python, Java, BASH) (or equivalent college experience)
  • Experience with administration of Linux-based operating systems
  • Experience with automation of operational tasks in a fast growing environment
  • Ability to interact and communicate successfully with business partners and technology teams
  • Personality that engages peers and promotes collaborative teamwork
  • Extremely strong problem-solving skills
