Reporting to the Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on compliance and other risks. Based on the trading floor and involves working closely with traders and operations teams. Ideally, but not essential you will already have a good knowledge of the types of financial instruments traded by SIG and this is a superb opportunity for an individual to work within a true front office trading environment.


What we're looking for;

  • Carry out monitoring in accordance with the risk based Compliance Monitoring Programme
  • Analyse compliance exception reports
  • Assist in ensuring that the firm complies with new exchange rules and regulations e.g. MiFID II, EMIR, MAR and trading venues
  • Ensure that the identities of new counterparties are being processed in accordance with the account opening and anti-money laundering procedures
  • Check that procedures are followed in relation to controls around automated trading systems used by SIG
  • Monitor that procedures are followed in relation to trading and counterparty limits
  • Ensure access to trading systems is only given to traders with appropriate registrations with the various exchanges and regulatory bodies
  • Assist in completing themed reviews of different business areas and also delivering the compliance training programme to employees

What we’re looking for


  • 3rd level degree in business, finance, law or related discipline
  • Demonstrable compliance experience in the financial services sector
  • Knowledge of VBA and/or SQL would be a strong advantage
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Access is essenital
  • Full Compliance related qualification desirable, or studying towards qualification e.g. LCOI designation
  • Knowledge of relevant regulation and financial markets
  • Demonstrate knowledge of financial instruments
