By joining our Human Resources/Recruiting Team as a HR & Recruiting Coordinator, you will be part of an energetic and motivated team that directly impacts the growth and success of our firm. You will support recruiters focused on hiring top-tier talent in trading, technology, and operations. We are looking for someone who is smart, resourceful, collaborative, and who can thrive in our informal but fast-paced and dynamic environment.

 

This opportunity will allow you to leverage your strong communication skills as you will work directly with candidates, hiring managers, and SIG interviewers. You will have the opportunity to learn the university recruiting process as well as develop a broad knowledge of SIG’s business. To be successful in this role, you must be able to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and manage last minute changes to schedules with professionalism and composure. We are seeking someone who is detail-oriented, organized and customer focussed.

 

Job Duties

  • Administer the Campus and Professional Recruiting strategy, including identifying creative approaches to support recruitment activities
  • Greet candidates and coordinate all on-site interviews; ensure a positive candidate experience for candidates
  • Build effective relationships with candidates, recruiters and business managers
  • Liaise and manage communications with university careers offices and recruitment agencies to facilitate recruiting activities
  • Utilise the in-house/internal Applicant Tracking System in order to track and report on candidates
  • Maintain and improve procedures for all areas of responsibility from simple process enhancements to larger initiatives
  • Organize and execute campus events and other recruitment events, as directed
  • Coordinate on boarding tasks for new employees
  • Assist with learning & development initiatives, including booking training and maintaining training records
  • Manage immigration and visa related activities for new and existing employees
  • Assist with international relocations and global mobility initiatives
  • Liaise with global marketing/branding, to align activities with brand strategy and achieve consistency of messaging
  • Coordinate work health and safety, and lead the WHS committee
  • Make process recommendations to achieve operational excellence
  • Contribute knowledge, and promote a knowledge-sharing culture

What we’re looking for

  • 1 - 2 years’ experience in recruitment administration, or related discipline (e.g. human resources, marketing etc.)
  • Exceptional customer service focus
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment
  • Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong proficiency working in Outlook or other scheduling systems, Word and Excel
  • Ability to travel locally and internationally, on a limited basis
