Susquehanna is growing across APAC, and we’re expanding our Hong Kong team with a Trader Desk Associate. This role sits at the heart of our trading operation, supporting traders and ensuring our desks run with accuracy, speed, and control.
As a Trade Support Analyst, you will work closely with traders and the broader market—handling key operational tasks, maintaining accurate positions and P&L, and ensuring smooth execution and communication. You will also gain exposure to trading systems, desk tooling, and automation initiatives. This role offers strong learning opportunities and direct insight into a fast-paced trading environment. While the role is primarily aligned to Hong Kong market hours, you’ll collaborate with regional APAC teams (including Australia) as part of day-to-day support and handovers.
What you’ll do
Reconcile trades, transactions, and positions across Asia trading activity
Prepare and submit delivery instructions for proprietary trading
Maintain positions, P&L, and real-time desk information
Support operational processes to meet regulatory and exchange requirements
Use trading and desk tools under trader instruction (including algorithmic tools where applicable)
Update and maintain trading systems, proprietary applications, and Excel tools
Liaise with traders, brokers, dealers/counterparties, clearing firms, and internal teams
Assist with execution support, recaps/reporting, and post-trade issue resolution
Contribute to automation and process-improvement projects, including testing and rollout support
Operate effectively on the trading floor and stay composed during time-sensitive situations
We are looking for someone who is technically strong, curious, and thrives in a fast-paced trading environment.
You will bring:
Experience in a trading operations role (or similar desk-aligned function)
Strong technical skills – proficiency in Excel; experience with Python or SQL is a strong plus
Interest in automation and improving front-office processes through technology
Knowledge of equities and equity derivatives, or a proven solid foundation with ability to learn quickly (broader product exposure, including convertible bonds and/or fixed income, is beneficial but not required)
Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills
Fluency in English plus a local language (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) to support day-to-day interaction with the local market and counterparties
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
A self-starter mindset – quick learner, resourceful, proactive
A reliable, positive, flexible team approach, including willingness to collaborate across APAC as needed
Ability to work calmly under pressure
A humble approach—comfortable asking questions and seeking clarity
What’s in it for you
