Overview

We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Consultant to join our Learning and Development team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role plays a pivotal role in shaping and scaling high-quality management and leadership development offerings for a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

 

Working closely with the Head of L+D Europe, HR Business Partners, and business leaders, this role will design and deliver practical, outcome-focused developmental experiences that strengthen manager effectiveness, leadership capability, and organisational performance. This is a hands-on Consultant role, requiring credibility, sound judgement, and the ability to operate confidently with leaders and stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business priorities and leadership challenges and translate these into practical management and leadership development solutions that work in Susquehanna’s fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
  • Design, build, and deliver high-impact, interactive learning experiences focused on developing effective managers and leaders—grounded in the Susquehanna context of pace, pressure and high accountability environment.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of delivery, from concept and design through build, facilitation, and iteration.
  • Develop high-quality, pragmatic toolkits, job aids, and learning resources that enable immediate application on the job and strong learning transfer, using tools such as Canva, Articulate Rise, and other learning technologies to a consistently high standard.
  • Facilitate engaging, challenging, and practical development experiences with confidence and credibility, adapting content and approach in real time to meet audience and business needs.
  • Collaborate with the global L+D team to ensure alignment, leverage existing content, and share best practices.
  • Continuously refine and evolve management and leadership development offerings based on participant feedback, outcomes, and changing business demands.
  • Support broader key Learning & Development initiatives as required, flexing to business needs and priorities during the contract term.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong experience designing and delivering management and leadership development curriculum within complex, high change, high-performance environments, preferably within financial services or technology sectors.
  • Proven capability in key areas such as critical conversations, feedback, performance management, delegating, driving high performance, etc.
  • Credible facilitator with the confidence to work with senior leaders and front-office populations
  • Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge constructively
  • Extensive experience facilitating multi-level management and leadership development experiences – in person, online and one-to-one
  • Practical and experientially-focused mindset —focused on real-world practical application rather than theoretical solutions
  • Highly organised, delivery-oriented, and comfortable operating at pace

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or professional qualification in Learning & Development, HR, Psychology, Education, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 8-10 years' experience designing and delivering learning experiences within large scale organisations.
  • Relevant L&D qualifications are an advantage, in particular;
    • Psychometric profiling accreditation for DISC, Insights Discovery or MBTI
    • Accredited coaching certificate or diploma
    • eLearning foundations accreditation and expertise
